What are some of your key philosophies as a studio?

Here are some of the things you will hear us say OFTEN: You can do hard things. Progress over perfection. Movement is medicine. Strong is beautiful. The thing is, we don’t just say them. We believe them. Our mission at Solciety Fitness is to encourage women through movement and fellowship. And our vision is that this would have an overflowing impact of positivity on our community at large.

Who are your people?

Moms needing that personal hour. Career women finding joy in the healthy start to their day. Retired women bringing new life to their routine. Older women building strength. College gals seeking fun movement. All of the above. Bottom line: you belong.

Are minors allowed in class?

We occasionally offer special mommy-and-me classes that invite younger children to join us in class, but all of our regular classes are designed for a mature crowd of those ages 16 and older. We require consent from a parent/guardian for those under the age of 18.

What is Sol Barre?

Our most popular class, Sol Barre is a version of barre fitness developed by Solciety Fitness. Focused on the mind-body connection, strong breathwork and music-matched movement, you can expect fun flows with lunges, squats, and planks, plus intentional isolation of specific muscle groups with longer reps using smaller weights or props. Think micro movements, pulses, and isometric holds, plus large ranges of movement to really flush out those muscles. The point is to work our muscles to the point of fatigue. You will see results and you will have fun!

No matter the instructor, each Sol Barre class incorporates a balanced, full-body workout with the same flow so you know what to expect. But the choreography and music changes weekly! The result is a fresh fitness experience each class. So you’ll never get bored, and your muscles will continue to strengthen. You’ll also see an unmatched shift in your positive mental health as you work towards the simple but highly effective goal of just showing up.

Is Sol Barre for me?

We think Sol Barre is for everyone. All ages, all abilities. We coach modifications and actually encourage them. Honest! Come as you are. We honor where you are at for that day, that class, knowing every day is different. Every Sol Barre class has the beginner and the member striving for her 150th class working side-by-side to accomplish her goal and honor her body. And every day, those same ladies are experiencing the same shakes and leaning into the same modifications. Because that’s what it’s all about!

What is Sol Strength?

The ideal companion class to your weekly barre routine, Sol Strength focuses on slower movement and heavier weights, paired with metabolic conditioning. Our instructors are well equipped to coach all levels of abilities, from never-ever-lifted to the regular pro. Expect to have fun in this small group environment where functional fitness elements provide a diverse playground for challenging your body at a pace that works for you. Some common equipment we use includes kettle bells, dumbbells, medicine balls, bosu balls, TRX straps, resistance bands, rowing machines, squat racks, boxes, battle ropes and more. Even if you’ve never heard of half of those things, we still believe Sol Strength is for you! (Shoes required)

Is Sol Strength for me?

As mentioned above, our strength classes are tailored to encourage and support everyone, from beginner to advance. And we honestly have both in most classes! Remember, our coaches are there to assist you, so please talk with them before class if you have any injuries or special considerations in which they can offer modifications. Many women step into the Fit Garage as newbies and leave hooked! Please give it a try!

What should I wear?

We advise wearing leggings and a tank with a layer for those chilly mornings. Brand name labels do not matter to us. Find something that fits and makes you feel good! Sol Barre and yoga classes are enjoyed barefoot, but please remember to bring clean, dry shoes for Sol Strength classes.

What should I bring?

You don’t need to bring anything except a water bottle (and clean, dry shoes for Sol Strength). You may opt to bring your own yoga mat, but we do supply them. We also offer fresh towels during class.

What if I have an injury, recovering from surgery or pregnant/postpartum?

Barre is highly praised by medical professionals as one of the safest and gentle forms of activity available for rehab and recovery. In part because we utilize a lot of isometric contractions, which are crucial for developing stability and mobility and foundational for all movement, contributing to muscle longevity. They are also the safest movements and seldom lead to injury. Most Sol Barre classes have women experiencing injury, recovery or pregnancy. You are not alone. Please make sure to speak to your instructor prior to class regarding any concerns.

As with any exercise program, if at any point during your workout you begin to feel faint, dizzy, or have physical discomfort, you should stop immediately and consult a physician.

What's the best option for me? Membership or Class Passes?

We know everyone’s needs are different, which is why we have lots of options to consider. We recommend the following considerations: If you want to attend the occasional class, your best bets are class passes and class packs (expiration dates apply). If you plan to make a small commitment of at least two times per week, we recommend a membership. Each 3-month and annual commitment comes in three forms: Limited Membership (5 classes per month) with monthly autopay, Unlimited Membership with monthly auto-pay, or Unlimited Membership, paid in full. Of course, the greater your level of commitment, the better the price. So if you really want to set a new lifestyle goal and dig into the awesome community at Solciety, go ahead and buy an annual membership! It has lots of additional perks, including 15% discount on all merchandise, 15% discount on personal training, and more.

Do you have a referral program?

Why yes, girl, we do. Get $20 in Solciety merch bucks for every friend you refer to Solciety who buys a New Client Special or membership. Just send us an email when they sign up and let us know! Rack them up or use right away. Your merch credit must be used within 90 days.

BOOKING + RESERVATION POLICIES

Do I need to sign up for classes in advance?

Ideally yes, yes, yes! Some classes fill to capacity, with a waitlist. Avoid the uncertainty and book in advance. A good idea is to sign up for your week of classes on a Sunday night. It will help you set your goals and encourage accountability. Remember, we require a one-hour cancellation for classes. That gives others time to snag your spot. Additionally, there may be times when we cancel class because no one is signed up. So if you want to make sure to get a class in, please sign up!

What if there is a waitlist?

This happens occasionally. Do join the waitlist! Odds are, somebody will cancel and free up a spot. Just add yourself to the waitlist and look for a text and/or email letting you know if a spot becomes available. Our waitlist usually moves enough to allow most people into class. But to avoid all of the uncertainty, just sign up well in advance. Problem solved! :)

Am I charged a cancellation fee if I late cancel?

Late cancellations (within one hour of class) will result in a $10 cancellation fee or loss of class credit for those using class packs/day passes. No-shows will be charged a $15 cancellation fee or loss of class credit.

What if I paid for a class and can no longer attend?

Class passes, class packs, childcare and membership sales are final.

Can my friend use one of my punch passes?

We love it when you send friends our way (see more on referral perks, above!). But they will have to purchase their own class pass, as all class passes, class packs, childcare and memberships are non transferable.

TERMS + POLICIES

Do you accept returns?

We accept returns of merchandise (with tags on) for exchange or store credit up to 14 days after purchase. All sale items are final and not eligible for return/exchange.

Can I put my membership on hold?

Can I get a refund on my membership purchase?

Paid-In-Full Memberships are nonrefundable. For other memberships, please see below.

How do I cancel my auto-pay membership?
